I’m a huge fan of America’s Test Kitchen. I do try to be mindful of the number of pots, pans, and plates used, so I wanted to point out that the? 13 x 9 pan for batter and cookie sheet for pre-dipped bread are both unnecessary.

When I make this recipe, I dip the bread in the bowl, wait 10 seconds, flip the bread, wait another 10 seconds, and then transfer the bread directly to the pre-heated, buttered skillet. As each piece of bread is finished, I transfer it to the oven to stay warm.
