I have Nikon Coolpix P500 and haven’t any problem yet .
canon is better in video but not evryone need video so 4 : 4 ?
son of a..XD
@kireikeikoo Hmmm no I haven’t heard of that from anybody else. The Nikon has 39 auto focus points and 9 cross-type sensors, while the canon has only a 9-point cross-type auto focus system. Not sure if that has something to do with it. In the meantime, here’s a nice comparison that just highlights the features of both cameras. bit.ly /eYvjQv
Hope that helps!
Oh, I just had one more question. When using the D7000, it seemed that the auto-focus seemed to snap into focus much slower and less “crisper” than the Canon? Did anyone else have this feeling? =/
@ElectronicsFanBoy Yeah that’s true >.< The D7000 is so expensive… also I’m in Canada, so it’s much pricier than the US.
Thanks for the advices though! =)
@ElectronicsFanBoy I’m going to be doing photography more than video, so I’d definitely say image quality is #1 for me. But I hear that would be all about the lens, and that the body really just provides convenience (speed, power, etc.) I’m not sure though, since I am only a student lol.
Yes, I have held both in my hands multiple times to compare. The Nikons (except for the $8000 D3X of course) all seem to be really small…?
@kireikeikoo I hope that was helpful. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.
@kireikeikoo It seems you’re not the only one who finds that Canon dslr’s have a superior grip, with it being said that both the 60d and 7d beat out the Nikon d40 d7000 & d90 in terms of feel.
The other advantage Canon has over Nikon seems to be, a slightly lower price (See 60d here, amzn.to /qMhrT9 and d7000 here, amzn.to /nSoJVB & bit.ly /r4yB48). Perhaps if image quality is all that is holding you back, you could just buy a Canon 60d (body-only) and shop around for the perfect lens.
@kireikeikoo Well, it depends on what’s more important to you in a dslr. I would have to say the coloring and sharpness of the d7000, overall, are much better. Whereas the Canon 60d seems more blurry and more saturated. Seen here, youtu.be /sVpGpHSpcIg
But of course a lot of that could just be the lens. Although this video made with the 60d seems to have the same problems. youtu.be /RrSJcQvhV0Q
But if it’s grip you want. Have you ever held a Nikon d700 to compare it to a 60D?
I wanted to buy the Nikon D7000 because I really hated my Canon T2i. It made me really lean towards Nikon altogether, but when I tried the 60D, I had to reconsider. For someone with bigger hands, it really just felt better grip-wise and regardless of the literal numbers, I felt the AF on the Canon was faster. The Nikon did have a superior 39 AF points though, which comes in useful. I’m so confused on which one I should go with!
@CodyJungle yeah.agreed
@ElectronicsFanBoy actually it is the other way. I have asked from pro photographers, professors in multi media schools and all of them except one recommended Nikon. The only person that recommended Canon said that she was a Canon person… D7000 is a superior camera to 60 D weather you like it or not
In the end a 3.5 because it’s cheaper…??
Nikon Fan Boys!!
@CodyJungle
mybe they are nikon fans, but the D7000 still much better.
@MrSlurk D7000
@YouAreShrek What good sides?
Looks like the comments are filled with Canon fanboys…

@CodyJungle I think I’ll have to agree with you on that one.
i really hate watching videos that are judged by nikon fanboys
This video sucks, this guy is a nikon fanboy. Consider the good sides of the 60D! THUMBS DOWN
@r31ncarnat3d yeah i agree with you bro
